The mail lady had to ring my door yesterday, I love when she has to do that because it means there is a package and I love packages! And what you might ask was in this package yesterday? Why it's half of my order from Knitpicks! (Sidenote, I'm a huge believer in LYS and that if we don't support them they will go away but sometimes a girl just has to get what she wants and Knitpicks had it.)
Why yes that is a Jordana Paige Bag. The one that I've been drooling over for months now and when I saw that my sister, my little sister had one I just couldn't resist anymore. (She can't have cooler toys then me, she just can't). I also got Scarf Style by Pam Allen. I've been eyeing this one for months but it seemed silly to buy a scarf book. I mean come on how hard is a scarf! But I am really trying to make this the year of the knitted Christmas gifts and I needed some inspiration and ideas. And it was on sale, I tell you it was kismet.
The rest of my order is yarn. I bought enough Andean Silk to make the hourglass sweater from Last minute knitted Gifts in Bluebell and one extra skein in Cream to see if it will work for the Aran that DH wants me to make for him. (For a guy who says that he doesn't care about clothes the man is really particular about the color and feel of the yarn for this project.)
I'm kind of glad that the yarn was backordered because I know I would want to drop everything and start the sweater (I even bought the needles for it already). But there are alread a lot of projects on the needles and I need to knock some of them out before I sould start a sweater that I won't even be able to wear until late summer or early fall. I started a list in the sidebar of projects on the needles and as I walk around my house I keep seeing new ones that aren't on the list yet. I really could use a a good bout of finishitis right about now.
On the baby front, we found out last month that we are having another little girl! I am so excited I love my son but girls are just so much more fun to dress and knit for! The Bug is totally stoked and keeps lifting my shirt to "talk" to the baby. She thinks that the baby won't hear her unless she lifts up my shirt, not a good thing in the grocery store check out line. My due date didn't change so we're still expecting her on or about July 30th. AAACK! That only leaves me 4 months to finish all this stuff before I go into that dark place where nobody sleeps and knitting is something you use to do.
